Student’s Mom Reviews RITES on GreatNonprofits
We have been going to, and have been supported by, our tutor at RITES for two years now. Our tutor has become both a family friend and part of the amazing network of miracles that help our son in his journey as a student, learner and a human being.
I cannot give enough accolades to both our tutor and the organization as a whole. She is amazing at what she does, and has such a loving, nurturing and guiding relationship with my son.
I have attended four seminars through RITES that have been excellent. We have referred two other clients to RITES and they are so happy, too.
I am forever grateful for the important and much-needed services and care that RITES provides. I hope that they are able to extend and continue their incredible work and system of support, education and outreach. We need it! We appreciate it! Please keep it going!
The previous statement reflects RITES’ goals and passion for lifelong learning via multisensory learning and individualized tutoring. A Rhode-Island based nonprofit that also serves Southeastern Massachusetts, RITES teachers and staff greatly appreciate the support of the community. RITES’ past and look to the future
“RITES began with two teachers, focusing on providing effective, multisensory reading instruction to elementary-age, dyslexic students,” say RITES co-directors Halley Lavenstein and Lisa Bigney, M.A., M.Ed. “While we continue to specialize in this area, we have expanded to include more than 20 certified and highly qualified, experienced teachers using research-based approaches for students of all ages. …
“As we look back at where we came from and look forward to where we’re heading, one overarching theme prevails: RITES provides a very personal educational experience for all our students and their families. When we look at what the feedback has been, we see that we have had the positive impact we’d hoped for, which ripples through the family dynamic, making the journey a little easier, and that spreads to others through many channels, but most importantly, through word-of-mouth from these grateful families. We also have happy, gifted teachers who give so much to their students and enrich one another’s professional experience. …
“We look forward to serving our community with even more innovative programs and services.”
RITES sends a heartfelt “thank you” to all kind supporters. We’re grateful for the support of the community and looking forward to a fruitful, educational, and exciting 2013!
