Writing and Spelling for Middle School Students: Expanding creative boundaries
In Middle School, writing serves the purpose of showing an expansion of ideas, complexity of thought, and understanding of presented materials. Students are expected to have emerging skill in expressing their ideas clearly and compellingly through their writing. If your middle school student has trouble with this process, he or she is unable to “show what you know,” which can compromise grades and self-esteem. Your RITES writing specialist crafts each lesson to give your child concrete tools and strategies to improve organization and written output, as well as develop stronger and longer paragraphs. Along the way, your student will understand his or her learning style better and become a more confident, efficient and powerful writer.
Individual writing and spelling tutoring is available all year-round. RITES Summer Writing Programs incorporate these teaching approaches into a small-group setting for a socially dynamic and productive experience.
