6:30-8:00 p.m. For Parents: Meet the author, learn about Noah TextTM and discover how to “Help Your Child Become A Confident Reader.” At Books on the Square in Providence, 471 Angell Street.

Leads two workshops, one for teachers and one for parents, on how to help our children become confident readers, and introduces us to Noah TextTM. For teachers at RITES Learning Center, then for parents at Books On the Square.
Sarah K. Blodgett is the author of the very imaginative book series The Mystical Years of Franklin Noah Peterson and Zack Early Readers. She is also the creator and founder of Noah Text™, a specialized text designed to assist and teach new and struggling readers, those with dyslexia, and ESL students, how to read with fluency and ease. Thus, her current book series is available in plain text and in Noah Text™. Sarah is a skilled researcher and writer that developed Noah Text™ after working with her own child that struggled with reading. Her journey started in 2003. In 2012, she started formally researching and honing her technique, which led to her research article: The Literacy Crisis: What we can learn from languages throughout the world to solve this problem. Her work has been featured in The Day Newspaper, The Associated Press, Education Talk Radio, CBS 94.9 Radio News Now, The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, DifferentBrains.org, Material Psychology, and City Focus Channel 25.
