STUDY SKILLS

Our teachers are trained in the award winning, research-based program SOAR® Study Skills.

SOAR® Study Skills is a simple system of easy, student-friendly strategies that help students complete homework and study much more efficiently. As students become more efficient, they begin to learn more and their grades go up while their study time goes down! Students who learn the SOAR system get the homework help they need by learning how to effectively:

• Organize papers
  
• Take notes
  
• Plan homework and projects
  
• Improve reading comprehension
  
• Set goals
  
• Organize space
  
• Take tests
  
• Communicate with parents and teachers
  
• Write papers

This program can be done in its entirety or personalized to cover only the topics a student needs. It can also be expanded upon for those who need more in-depth assistance.
